What we do...

An Invisible Man are a theatre and media arts company committed to making work that makes a difference. Led by artistic director Stephen Burke, we have been making socially motivated narrative art works for over 15 years.

Beyond making theatre or media for simple passive enjoyment, we create engaging and interactive works for schools, communities and festivals that usually ask the question...

“Are we happy with this? No? Right, well if not... then what can we each do next to change it?”

So, what we actually do...

  • We write and stage new plays, which we tour and perform to young audiences nationally and internationally.
  • We work closely with with schools & colleges to develop and deliver projects to enrich how they use arts and media to enrich delivery or SMSC and PHSCE.
  • We devise and develop new live art work or community arts projects for charities, local authorities, festivals or community celebrations.

But more simply, we ask questions of a subject and then we tell those real stories….

Do please journey in through the site for a more detailed look at our past and present projects and if you like what we are doing, and what people say who've worked with us, then we'd be delighted to hear from you through the contact methods above.

Stephen combines extreme creativity with the organisation and professionalism to, quite simply,…… make exciting projects happen!
